About Me

Fred Pipkin is a creative technologist and designer currently studying at the University of the Arts London Creative Computing Institute. His practice sits at the intersection of interactive systems, generative media, and speculative design, exploring how computational processes can shape creative expression and human interaction with technology. Working across creative coding, real-time visual systems, and sound, Fred develops experimental projects that investigate new ways of thinking through and with digital tools.

Through a research-led and exploratory process, Fred is interested in building systems that reveal the underlying logics of computation while remaining playful, tactile, and engaging. His work often takes the form of interactive installations, generative visual environments, and experimental software, combining technical development with speculative thinking about the future of creative technologies. By prototyping new tools and interfaces, Fred explores how emerging computational systems can open up alternative ways of making, experiencing, and understanding digital media.
